| I received a referral from our wedding coordinator for Greg Lee. Anytime a vendor (whether it be videographer, florist, photographer, etc) found out Greg Lee was our music provider, they couldn’t tell me enough times that I made a wonderful choice and that the evening was sure to be a success. They couldn’t have been more right. People are still talking about our wedding reception and a lot of it has to do with the band. They are by far the most talented live band I have ever heard. We had originally planned for the band to play for 2 hours and then switch to Greg DJ-ing. After hearing the band, we let Greg know his DJ-ing services were not needed and we wanted the band to play the entire night. From the moment they started playing the dance floor was full. I mean full. We had to break down 2 tables to allow for more dancing room! The dance floor never cleared out. To answer your questions below directly: 1. I think Greg is an excellent choice for a wedding band. In my opinion, this is what can make or break your reception. I promise you will not be let down as they are entertainers and not just a band. They interacted with the crowd the entire night and we received so many compliments that this was the best band anyone has heard. 2. Everyone was dancing. Literally for 3 hours the dance floor was packed! The music selections they played attracted every age group. Even my husband's 84 year old grandmother was out there! 3. The music they played was perfect for who my husband and I are. He sent us out a “questionnaire” to determine what kind of music we liked and what we absolutely did not want played. They listed and like I said, the music was perfect. My husband loves Stevie Ray Vaughn, the guitarist learned some of his selections to play during our dinner hour. Needless to say my husband was ecstatic. 4. They showed up perfectly on time and were ready to go when we were. Not the other way around. They are a class act. Also, they play 80 minute sets. Our reception lasted from 6pm until midnight. They took 1 break. Cocktails were from 6-7, dinner from 7-8. From 8-12, wedding items (cutting the cake, bouquet toss, dollar dance) and dancing. They took 1 break. I have been to weddings were the band was off the stage as much as they were on the stage! This was not the case with Greg Lee. Greg played the piano during our cocktail hour and then the band played jazz, blues, and Frank Sinatra tunes during dinner. After that it was time to party! I hope this information helps! I too know that you want everything to be just right on this day. I was a bride that was very involved in the ‘details’ of the day and can be very hard to please.
